Festival do Rio 2026 announces selected Brazilian films for Première Brasil; see list

The Rio Festival announced 101 selected films for the 28th edition of Première Brasil, which takes place from October 1 to 11. The projects were chosen from 1,500 feature and short films submitted. Among the highlights are "Vicentina Pede Desculpas," which is competing for Brazil's Oscar 2027 nomination, and "A Margem do Rio," recently awarded at Locarno.
