Vorcaro gives testimony this Thursday (27) in the investigation of irregularities by Central Bank employees with Master

Former banker Daniel Vorcaro testifies this Thursday (27th) to the Federal Police in Brasília, within the scope of the investigation that is looking into suspicions involving Banco Master and alleged irregularities in the businessman's relationship with Central Bank employees. Detained preventively since June at Papudinha, Vorcaro will speak to the Federal Police for the first time after the rejection of two plea deal proposals and after a partial change in his defense team, now including lawyer Daniel Bialski. The hearing, scheduled for 10am via videoconference, is considered crucial because the former banker is suspected of having corrupted Central Bank employees to obtain privileged information and advantages for Banco Master.

IHRU opens competitions for 77 affordable rental homes in 19 municipalities

The Instituto da Habitação e da Reabilitação Urbana (IHRU) has opened nine draw competitions for the allocation of 77 affordable rental housing units, under the Housing Rental Support Program (PAA). Applications run until September 17, 2026 and cover housing types from T0 to T6, distributed across 19 municipalities, including Lisbon, Porto, Aveiro, Beja, Évora, Setúbal, among others. Interested parties must first obtain the Application Registration Certificate on the PAA Platform and then submit their application through the IHRU Arrenda Platform.

European Union: Chinese small orders drop 30% to 40%
