Floods in Nepal and Tibet leave 270 dead: two Portuguese among the missing

The violent floods that hit the border region between Nepal and China have already caused 270 dead, according to the latest toll from Nepali authorities. Search and rescue operations continue to locate more than 1,300 missing people, including numerous foreign tourists and two Portuguese citizens. The tragedy resulted from torrential rains that triggered floods and landslides in the Tibet region and adjacent areas of Nepal.
