Researchers discovered that monkeys in Madagascar hunt and consume meat when fruits and vegetables become scarce, a predatory behavior that may reflect the dietary habits of human ancestors. The study observed that primates adapt their diet according to food availability, suggesting that the transition to a more carnivorous diet in ancestral humans may have been similar.
