Sudden floods in Nepal. Portuguese among the 160 victims, one Portuguese person missing

Sudden floods in Nepal and Tibet have caused at least 160 dead and hundreds of missing, in a still provisional toll. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed the death of a Portuguese citizen who had been reported missing, after the wave of water, mud and debris hit several localities in northern Nepal. There is also a Portuguese person missing in the region.

The landslide, which reportedly originated from the Nepali side, left a layer of mud that in some points reaches up to 2 meters in depth.
