The city of Fundão hosts the 6th edition of the International Guitar Festival between September 4 and 6, at the Auditório d'A Moagem, with artists from Italy, Denmark, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Spain. Promoted by the Municipality of Fundão and the Concordis Association, the festival includes concerts of guitar, violin, accordion, piano, flute, and pan flute, with highlights such as the Maurizio Mastrini Quartet (Italy), the Robin Nolan Trio (Netherlands), and the Duo Origines (Switzerland), as well as Portuguese and Spanish ensembles.

Festival do Rio 2026 announces selected Brazilian films for Première Brasil; see list

The Rio Festival announced 101 selected films for the 28th edition of Première Brasil, which takes place from October 1 to 11. The projects were chosen from 1,500 feature and short films submitted. Among the highlights are "Vicentina Pede Desculpas," which is competing for Brazil's Oscar 2027 nomination, and "A Margem do Rio," recently awarded at Locarno. A total of 45 features and shorts compete for the Redentor Trophy, distributed across categories such as feature and short competitions, Novos Rumos, Hors Concours, Retratos (documentaries), and Midnight Movies (experimental and genre films).
