Castelo do Pontal: space in Recreio will have theme park, suites and event halls; see video

A large enterprise called Castelo do Pontal is being built on Estrada do Pontal, in Recreio dos Bandeirantes, in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro. The complex, with an appearance inspired by medieval castles, includes halls for large events, a theme park, five suites, a restaurant, a bistro, and areas for outdoor attractions. With an expected completion date of July 2027, the project promises to become a new tourism and leisure space in the region.

Retorta opens temporary accommodation for families in vulnerable situations

A new unit of the National Urgent and Temporary Housing Fund was inaugurated in Retorta, Vila do Conde, resulting from a partnership between the Municipality and the local Santa Casa da Misericordia. The structure aims to host families in vulnerable situations, functioning as a transition stage towards permanent housing solutions, ensuring protection, inclusion and autonomy. This project is part of the national strategy for creating residential units through acquisition, rehabilitation or construction, with an investment of 203 million euros under the PRR, foreseeing 2,000 emergency or transition accommodations nationwide, in addition to dwellings, housing blocks and centers for security forces.
