Prime Minister Luís Montenegro closes today the PSD Summer University, an event that usually functions as the second "rentrée" of the party in the political calendar. Montenegro intervened in this context as leader of the PSD and simultaneously as Prime Minister.
The Government led by Montenegro is under threat of a motion of censure, which gives an added context of political tension to the closing of this party event. This threat hangs over the executive at the moment when the party holds its summer university.
In his intervention, Montenegro promised to speak "about education reforms," presenting this theme as one of the central points of his communication during the event. The PSD leader thus used the Summer University to define the party's political priorities.
The PSD Summer University functions as a moment of political affirmation for the party, serving as a platform for Montenegro to present his vision and strategy, at a time when the executive faces significant challenges in parliament.
