Actor Marcello Novaes, at 63 years old, found in the farm in Teresópolis, in the Mountainous Region of Rio de Janeiro, a refuge far from studios and the hustle and bustle of the city. Away from the routine of an actor, he exchanges work on screen for that of an architect, carpenter, farmer, and even waterfall builder, putting into practice skills he learned back in his teenage years.
Much of the construction and decoration of the place was designed by Marcello himself. He even took advantage of an existing spring on the property to create a small waterfall, transforming the space with personal touches that highlight his intimate relationship with the place.
Marcello's connection with the farm goes back a long way. At 14 years old, he was already frequenting the property that belonged to his uncle, and he says he preferred the days surrounded by greenery. The farm became his private refuge, where he can live in a more isolated way and connected with nature.
