Rio began registering rain on Saturday night. According to Alerta Rio, there was a record of light rain between 9:15 PM and 9:30 PM in Guaratiba, Copacabana, Barra/Barrinha and Alto da Boa Vista. For the next few hours, the forecast is for rain showers and strong wind gusts, which can reach 76 km/h.

Given the forecast, the Municipal Civil Defense sent an alert to the population via SMS and WhatsApp. The warning advises residents to stay in safe places and avoid areas prone to flooding.

The recommendation is not to walk through flooded areas, due to the risk of currents, injuries caused by objects hidden beneath the water, and falls into holes. The population should also avoid getting close to streams and rivers.
