Ney Matogrosso publicly reacted to a comparison made by Xuxa during her appearance on the program "Domingão com Huck" on the 16th. The presenter, 63 years old, used Ney's name to compare the criticism she receives about the outfits from her tour "O último voo da nave" with the way an older man who also performs with his body on display is received by the public.

The singer, 85 years old, gave an interview to Folha de S.Paulo in which he said he didn't like having been mentioned in the debate about sexism and ageism. "I thought she shouldn't have said my name," Ney declared about the situation.

Ney explained that he got the impression that Xuxa was transferring to him an issue that concerned her own experience. "You know the impression it gives? That she's taking it from herself and throwing it at me. But it doesn't work. That doesn't happen with me. It never has," the artist added, making it clear that he doesn't feel targeted by the same criticism directed at the presenter.

During the program hosted by Huck, Xuxa had compared the criticism she receives about the outfits used in her shows with the way Ney is received by the public, beginning a comment with "It's not a criticism, because I love Ney Mato...".
