The Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant may face a blackout in the next 10 days due to the instability caused by the war in Ukraine. The plant, which is the largest in Europe, has been affected by the conflicts in the region.
The instability generated by the war is not limited to Zaporizhzhia alone. Other Ukrainian nuclear facilities are also suffering the consequences, including Chernobyl, Khmelnytskyi and the South Ukraine nuclear power plant.
The managers of these facilities report constant air raid alerts, indicating a permanent danger situation for workers and for the safety of the plants.
The situation raises concerns about nuclear safety in Ukraine, in a context of armed conflict that threatens the country's critical infrastructure.
