Richard Ríos's future at Benfica remains open. Although the Colombian midfielder continues to be part of the encarnada squad, the structure led by Rui Costa now admits a solution that could allow the player to leave the Luz without the club giving up on guaranteeing an important financial return. According to information reported by CNN Portugal, the eagles are available to accept a departure on loan, but there is a condition considered fundamental for this scenario to move forward.
The eagles want the loan to be accompanied by a mandatory purchase clause. The possibility represents a change in the strategy initially defined by Benfica for the Colombian midfielder. The encarnada SAD remains interested in monetizing the investment made in the player and, therefore, does not intend to simply release him temporarily without future guarantees.
Despite being open to negotiating on these terms, Ríos has not yet received any official offer to leave Benfica on loan. There are interested parties, but so far no club has formalized an offer that includes the mandatory purchase clause desired by the encarnada.
