The CIDEREU International Photography Exhibition was inaugurated in Carrazeda de Ansiães, as part of the programme of the 29th Apple, Wine and Olive Oil Fair. The initiative is dedicated to enhancing the culture, landscape, heritage and identity of the communities associated with apple and cider production, bringing together photographic works that seek to portray the relationship between the producing territories, their traditions and the people who, across generations, have contributed to preserving these activities and their cultural legacy.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by several entities, namely the mayor of Carrazeda de Ansiães, João Gonçalves, the minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Carlos Abreu Amorim, the president of CCDR-Norte, Álvaro Santos, and the president of the Regional Tourism Entity of Porto and Northern Portugal. Also present were Mariana Santos Naredo, general coordinator of the CiderCities project, and Lucas Mesquita, winner of the Local Award, as well as representatives of local institutions and entities.
The exhibition can be visited during the 29th Apple, Wine and Olive Oil Fair and, subsequently, between September 1 and 30, at Praça do CITICA in Carrazeda de Ansiães. The exhibition presents itself as a meeting space between different territories linked to apple and cider culture, allowing visitors to discover, through the photographic language, the diversity of their landscapes, traditions and heritage manifestations.
More than a photographic exhibition, the initiative aims to establish photography as an instrument for preserving collective memory and enhancing the identity and heritage of the territories linked to apple and cider.
Foi inaugurada em Carrazeda de Ansiães a Exposição Internacional de Fotografia CIDEREU, uma iniciativa dedicada à valorização da cultura, da paisagem, do património e da identidade das comunidades associadas à produção de maçã e sidra.
A mostra integra a programação da 29.ª Feira da Maçã, do Vinho e do Azeite e reúne trabalhos fotográficos que procuram retratar a relação entre os territórios produtores, as suas tradições e as pessoas que, ao longo de gerações, têm contribuído para preservar estas atividades e o seu legado cultural.
A cerimónia de inauguração contou com a presença de diversas entidades, entre as quais o presidente da Câmara Municipal de Carrazeda de Ansiães, João Gonçalves, o ministro dos Assuntos Parlamentares, Carlos Abreu Amorim, o presidente da CCDR-Norte, Álvaro Santos, e o presidente da Entidade Regional de Turismo do Porto e Norte de Portugal. Esteve também presente Mariana Santos Naredo, coordenadora-geral do projeto CiderCities, além de representantes de instituições e entidades locais.
A Exposição Internacional de Fotografia CIDEREU assume-se como um espaço de encontro entre diferentes territórios ligados à cultura da maçã e da sidra, permitindo conhecer, através da linguagem fotográfica, a diversidade das suas paisagens, tradições e manifestações patrimoniais.
O momento inaugural contou ainda com a presença de Lucas Mesquita, vencedor do Prémio Local, que acompanhou a visita à exposição e se associou à iniciativa.
A mostra poderá ser visitada durante a realização da 29.ª Feira da Maçã, do Vinho e do Azeite e, posteriormente, entre 1 e 30 de setembro, na Praça do CITICA, em Carrazeda de Ansiães.
Mais do que uma exposição fotográfica, a iniciativa pretende afirmar a fotografia enquanto instrumento de preservação da memória coletiva e de valorização da identidade e do património dos territórios ligados à maçã e à sidra.
