Constitutional Court gives green light to the Immigration Law. Seguro has 20 days for final decision

The Constitutional Court gave approval to the new Immigration Law, validating the mechanisms that allow facilitating the expulsion and deportation of immigrants in an irregular situation in the country.

With this decision, the legislative process moves to the next phase, now returning to the domain of the President of the Republic.

The head of state has a period of 20 days to make a final decision on the decree, choosing to either enact the law or veto it.

The new legislation aims to streamline procedures related to irregular migratory situation in the country.
