Nepal has officially requested international aid to deal with the country's reconstruction after the devastating earthquakes that hit it. The Nepalese Ministry of Finance estimated that 4.3 billion euros will be needed to rebuild the affected areas and recover the destroyed infrastructure.
This amount may increase significantly, as the situation on the ground remains unstable. The Nepalese authorities do not rule out the possibility of a new wave of consequences, which could further aggravate the damage already recorded.
The country is facing one of the largest humanitarian crises in its recent history, with thousands of displaced people and essential infrastructure destroyed. The international community is evaluating how it can contribute to support Nepal in this reconstruction process.
