The EU is already working on providing Spain with the support of Frontex and Europol in the face of the still "complex" situation in Ceuta

The European Union is working on the request made by Spain to receive support from the European Border and Coast Guard Agency (Frontex) and Europol in the screening of irregular migrants in Ceuta. This collaboration aims to strengthen the management of the migratory situation in the Spanish city.

The European Commissioner for Migration, Magnus Brunner, considered that the situation in Ceuta continues to be "complex," acknowledging the difficulties the country faces in controlling irregular immigration at its southern border.

Despite the complexity of the situation, Brunner celebrated "the additional measures" adopted by the Spanish Government to address the migratory flow, demonstrating the EU's recognition of the efforts undertaken by Spain.

The cooperation with European agencies Frontex and Europol represents an important reinforcement for the Spanish authorities, who will be able to benefit from European resources and expertise in the processing and management of migrants arriving in Ceuta.
