Besiktas does not give up on Lukebakio and has a plan to sign winger from Benfica

Glorioso 1904 – Se é notícia do Benfica, está aqui29 August 2026 at 12:30

Besiktas are determined to sign Dodi Lukebakio, the Benfica winger, and already have a plan in place to complete the transfer. The Istanbul club sees the player as a priority to strengthen their attack and is currently in negotiations with Benfica to reach an agreement. The operation is expected to be around 20 million euros, although the total value is not fully specified in the article.

In parallel, Besiktas face a possible departure of Vaclav Cerny, the 28-year-old Czech winger. Rangers submitted an 8 million euro offer for the player, but the Turkish club is demanding 10 million euros to release the Czech international, with a two million euro gap between the Scottish offer and the requested amount.

Given the possibility of losing Cerny to the Scots, Besiktas' board are already working on his succession. The Turkish club identified Dodi Lukebakio as the main target to fill the void left by the Czech winger, should the transfer to Rangers go through. The Turks are not willing to make Cerny's departure easy and intend to keep the player if they do not receive an offer that meets their financial demands.
