The situation in Nepal after a devastating flood is extremely serious, with hundreds of dead and around 2,500 people missing. Infrastructure and roads in several areas of the country were destroyed, which is significantly hindering land access to the populations affected by the tragedy.
NOW's special correspondent, Diogo Carreira, was on the ground and spoke with a Nepali citizen who was directly affected by the flood. This person lost friends and colleagues during the catastrophe and saw his business partially destroyed.
The disaster continues to pose a high risk to the population, as the number of missing people keeps rising, highlighting the severity of the humanitarian situation in the country.
