Public consultation on National Energy Storage Strategy launches

The Ministry of Energy announced the launch of a public consultation for the National Energy Storage Strategy. The strategy was presented by the Government on July 29 and its main objectives are to address periods of energy deficit in the country.

The initiative comes in the context of an effort to achieve greater national energy sovereignty. Energy storage is considered essential to reduce external dependence on energy sources.

Furthermore, the strategy aims to contribute to stabilizing energy prices in the market. By storing energy during periods of excess production, the goal is to ensure supply during periods of higher demand and lower generation.
