Alexandre Gomes, 22 years old, is the new leader of JJPP Youth, Popular-Monarchist Party, succeeding in the position Jéssica Teles, current Deputy of the party in the Legislative Assembly of Madeira. The inauguration took place at a time when the young man states it is "time to make room in politics and in the future of Madeira for new blood and new ideas".

The new leader is a jurist and master's student at the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra, which gives him academic training in the legal field. His choice to lead the youth structure of the party comes at a time of political renewal in the region.

Alexandre Gomes assumes the leadership with the objective of reinforcing the intervention of young people in regional political life and responding to their proposals and concerns. The young man highlights the need to open space for new generations in the Madeiran political landscape.

Among the central axes of his term are mobility, housing, higher education and employment, themes he intends to prioritize to respond to the main needs and aspirations of Madeiran youth.
