A street vendor from Bogotá decided to freely give away the drinks he sold to people who were preparing to work as volunteers after an earthquake in Colombia. The solidarity gesture took place in front of El Campín Stadium, in the Colombian capital, where the man was distributing free black coffee and herbal tea to volunteers who approached the location.
The moment was recorded in a video posted on TikTok by user Lu, which showed the vendor offering his products to people passing by the stadium parking lot. When some people tried to pay for what they had received, the man refused the money and explained that he wanted to contribute to the emergency in the same way the volunteers did.
The video went viral quickly on the platform and generated requests to financially help the street vendor. In the images, the man appeared stating that this was his contribution to the emergency situation. User Lu commented on the recording saying that the gesture defined the Colombia she knew.
