At least 27 people died and 42 were injured after a Russian drone hit a warehouse near Kiev on Friday night, Ukrainian authorities reported today. The attack caused a large fire and explosions at the site.
Ukrainian authorities reported the incident on Saturday, the day after the attack. President Volodymyr Zelensky publicly criticized the presence of weapons stored near civilian homes.
The attack is part of a series of Russian offensives against infrastructure and military targets in Ukraine. Kiev has been frequently targeted by Russian drone and missile attacks in recent months.
