Project #Vibes4U NoDrugs reinforces prevention of alcohol and drug consumption at the São Vicente festival

The Regional Health Directorate, through the Operational Unit for Intervention in Addictive Behaviors and Dependencies, is promoting a prevention action during the Festas de São Vicente. This initiative is integrated into the #Vibes4U NoDrugs project.

The main objective of this action is to alert festival-goers to the dangers associated with excessive consumption of alcoholic beverages and illicit substances in party contexts.

The project aims to reinforce the prevention of alcohol and drug consumption during the São Vicente festival, providing information and awareness to the event participants.

An elderly Austrian alpinist recovered on Tuesday a backpack that he had abandoned more than 63 years ago during an accident on an expedition in the Sulztalferner glacier area, in the Tyrol region. The man, who was already almost 80 years old when he recovered the equipment, explained that at the time of the accident, in 1961, he was unable to take the backpack with him when he was rescued urgently from the glacier.
