Cultural Heritage ensures PRR target compliance with main works completed

Jornal de Negócios29 August 2026 at 11:18

Cultural Heritage guarantees compliance with the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) target, with the main works already completed. This guarantee comes at a crucial moment for the execution of European funds destined for the recovery and enhancement of Portuguese heritage.

João Soalheiro is the central figure of this promise, personally assuming the commitment that the objectives will be fully achieved. His intervention serves as an institutional guarantee that the sector is on the right track.

The amount in question amounts to 243.2 million euros of contracted financing under the PRR for cultural heritage. João Soalheiro states that this value will be executed "to the cent", meaning in full, without any deviation from what was planned.

This guarantee of full execution of European funds represents an important milestone for the cultural heritage sector in Portugal, demonstrating that the investments planned in the PRR are being realized within the established deadlines and values.
