Six months after the start of the war between the United States and Iran, the Iranian-American community remains deeply divided about the future and the next steps to follow. The divergences reflect the political and cultural complexities that characterize this minority in the United States.

This week, Washington threatened to adopt new measures against Iran. The Treasury Secretary, Scott Bessent, indicated that these measures will target a complex network created by Iran that allows its entities to circumvent the extensive sanctions already in force against the country.

The sanctions imposed on Iran aim to restrict the country's access to international financial resources and limit its military and economic capabilities. However, Tehran has developed mechanisms to bypass these restrictions, which motivated the new threat of measures by the American administration.
