The Compromís Municipal Group warned that the arrival of the last legislative period before the municipal elections will intensify the divisions between PP and Vox within Begoña Carrasco's government in Castelló. The Valencian coalition considers that the city has "a government that cannot make up its mind" and will face the coming months more concerned with marking an electoral profile between the two partners than with managing the city.
The executive of Begoña Carrasco was characterized by a legislature marked by public discrepancies, votes in opposite directions in plenary sessions and, even, differences within the Government Board itself. Compromís ensures that these tensions will be accentuated during the last political course before the next municipal elections.
For the Valencian coalition, PP and Vox will need to differentiate themselves electorally without wanting to renounce the positions they share in the municipal government. This balance between electoral competition and government cohabitation will be, according to Compromís, the main challenge of these partners in the coming months.
