Honda and Nissan will develop software for vehicles, according to Nikkei

Honda and Nissan, two major Japanese automakers, plan to jointly develop an operating system and onboard computer for their vehicles, through an agreement expected on Monday, according to the Japanese business daily Nikkei. The two companies will partner to develop software and hardware for vehicles, with a view to incorporating these technologies in their cars around 2029, after negotiations on intellectual property rights and other terms for this technological alliance.
