The PS councilman in the Municipality of Aveiro, Leonardo Costa, criticized the local authority for not including in its budget financial aid for students from the municipality who were placed in universities outside the city. This situation affects young people from Aveiro who, because they were not admitted to the University of Aveiro, now attend higher education institutions in other locations. Leonardo Costa publicly lamented this absence of municipal support for displaced students. The municipal council's budget does not include any specific measure for financial support to these students, which for the PS represents a failure in the municipality's commitment to education and the young people of Aveiro.
