Setúbal will symbolically transform into a beach this Saturday in a protest action against the attempt to privatize five beaches and natural spaces of Arrábida. The demonstration plans the use of towels, hats, and floaties as symbols of contestation against privatization.
The protest aims to raise awareness about what organizers consider to be a threat to the natural spaces of Arrábida, a protected area that includes beaches of great environmental and landscape value.
Today's action marks another episode in the fight against the privatization of these beaches, joining other initiatives already carried out as part of this contestation.
