The governor of Pernambuco, Raquel Lyra (PSD), filed a lawsuit in Electoral Court against a social media profile called "João Campos Platinado," which would be maintained by a video producer linked to PSB, the party of her main opponent in the re-election race, João Campos.
The profile is linked to Wladimir Fernandes, who worked at a PSB mayor's office in the state. In 2022, Fernandes had already been targeted by Lyra's coalition for a page called "Marília Arraes Mocked," which referred to the governor's rival in that election. He denies any relationship with the published contents.
This case represents another chapter in the legal battle between Lyra's and Campos's campaigns. Both sides claim to be victims of so-called "hate cabinets," which spread false information about their opponents.
