Hezbollah in Lebanon again rejected the agreement with Israel, according to a statement by Naïm Qassem. Qassem classified the June agreement as "illegitimate and humiliating," reiterating the Shia group's position against the negotiated terms.
The group refused both the pilot zones and the verification commission proposed under the agreement. These refusals represent a significant obstacle to the implementation of any lasting ceasefire in the region.
The situation in southern Lebanon remains extremely tense, with more than a thousand projectiles recorded in just seven days. This escalation of violence highlights the failure of attempts to implement the agreement to date.
