Israel carried out a rare aerial strike in the West Bank that resulted in the death of three people. The attack occurred in the city of Jenin, in the northern part of the occupied Palestinian territory.
Among the dead, Hamas and Islamic Jihad confirmed that at least one of the Palestinians killed was a member of these armed movements. Both groups are considered terrorist organizations by Israel and other countries.
This type of Israeli aerial strike in the West Bank is considered rare, as this type of military operation is more frequent in the Gaza Strip. The West Bank has been the scene of recurring violence, but aerial strikes are less common in this territory.
