PSD optimistic about the promulgation of the return law and speaks of "duty fulfilled"

PSD received today with a "sense of duty fulfilled" the decision of the Constitutional Court to give the green light to the so-called return law. The party expressed optimism about the promulgation of the diploma by the President of the Republic.

The Constitutional Court validated the diploma that establishes new rules for the return of certain categories of citizens to the country. This approval by the court represents an important step for the implementation of the law.

The social democrats consider that the validation by the Constitutional Court represents the fulfillment of a political objective of the party. The PSD's expectation is that the diploma now proceeds to promulgation by the President of the Republic.

The return law aims to establish new conditions for certain groups of citizens who wish to return to Portugal, responding to a long-standing claim associated with issues of nationality and residence.
