The Portuguese Communist Party expressed fears that the new immigration measures may create "aggravated constraints" and situations of injustice for immigrants.
The Constitutional Court analyzed 11 norms of the immigration bill at the request of the President of the Republic.
The Constitutional Court judges considered, unanimously, that the 11 analyzed norms are constitutional.
With this decision, the President of the Republic is now in a position to promulgate or veto the bill.
