Former U.S. President Donald Trump suffered his third court defeat in the case involving porn star Stormy Daniels. The case dates back to May 2024, when Trump was accused of bribing the actress to keep silent about an alleged extramarital affair.
The judge in charge of the case again rejected Trump's defense arguments. This was the third time the magistrate rejected the appeals filed by the former president's lawyers.
In the decision, the judge stated that the reasons presented by the defense "are neither new nor legally sufficient" to reopen the case or reconsider the charges.
The Stormy Daniels case became one of the most well-known legal proceedings involving Trump, contributing to his indictment and generating extensive media coverage during the pre-election period.
