Trump fails again at attempt to overturn conviction for bribery of porn actress

A US federal judge again rejected Donald Trump's attempt to overturn his bribery conviction, today denying the request to transfer the case to a federal court and dismiss it based on presidential immunity. The case concerns the payment of bribery to a porn actress, Stormy Daniels, during the 2016 presidential campaign. This is the second time a court has denied Trump's efforts to overturn the conviction. Trump's defense argued that the case should be transferred to federal court and dismissed due to presidential immunity, but the judge did not agree with those arguments. The trial was originally held in a New York state court, where Trump was convicted of falsifying business records.
