Banker Daniel Vorcaro testified this Friday (28th) to the Federal Police for about four hours. He was questioned about his relationship with two former Central Bank directors who were removed after corruption suspicions involving the Banco Master scandal. Investigators suspect that these former directors may have provided some kind of consulting to Vorcaro to avoid the liquidation of Banco Master, which occurred in November last year.
Vorcaro denied any corruption attempt by the Central Bank officials during the testimony. The banker's defense stated, in a note signed by seven lawyers, that he responded clearly and consistently to the questions posed by the Federal Police.
The operation also targets a group responsible for a sports betting platform that moved more than R$ 5 billion in 2025. The Public Ministry has already requested nearly 1,000 candidacy challenges, with São Paulo leading the number of challenges.
