Porto Alegre was chosen for the launch of the Senac Innovation Network, a nationwide initiative that connects companies in Rio Grande do Sul with educational and research institutions, startups, and professionals to develop solutions focused on the trade, services, and tourism sectors. The presentation was held on August 17 at the headquarters of the Sistema Fecomércio-Sesc-Senac-RS, bringing together business owners, union representatives, and leaders of the Trade System.

The proposal is to transform business demands into applied research projects, technological development, and professional education, expanding the participation of the productive sector in the innovation ecosystem. The Senac Innovation Network brings together 14 Regional Departments, 19 applied research centers, and 16 innovation hubs, with specialized centers in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Retail Experience, and Health Technology.

The structure seeks to expand the connection between professional training and the needs of companies. The network also has the support of the Serviço Nacional de Aprendizagem Comercial to strengthen the bond between education and the labor market.
