GNR in Guarda reinforces combat against wildlife crimes with two new vehicles

The Territorial Command of Guarda of the GNR received this Friday two new vehicles to reinforce the operational capacity of military personnel involved in nature protection missions and combating wildlife crimes.

The delivery of the new resources comes within the scope of the LIFE Aegypius Return project, which aims to improve the working conditions of the authority agents responsible for environmental inspection and protection in the region.

The vehicles are intended to support surveillance operations and combat illegal activities that threaten wildlife species in the area of responsibility of the Territorial Command of Guarda.

With this reinforcement of resources, the GNR expects to strengthen its field operations and contribute to the preservation of biodiversity in Serra da Estrela and adjacent areas.
