A first-level alert was issued for a forest fire in Vila Real, more specifically in the parishes of Borbela and Lamas de Olo. The fire originated in vegetation (scrubland) and triggered the activation of the first alert level.

To combat the fire, 15 operatives and 3 ground resources were dispatched. No aerial resources were requested for this incident.

The first alert dispatch indicates that this is a situation that, although being monitored, does not yet require the dispatch of larger-scale resources. Local authorities are monitoring the evolution of the situation on the ground.
