Constitutional Court gives green light to decree on granting asylum and return of foreigners

The Constitutional Court gave green light to a decree relating to the granting of asylum and the return of foreigners. The decision allows the execution of regulations and the transposition of European Union directives into national legislation.

The decree introduces changes in three main areas. The first refers to the reception regime for foreigners or stateless persons in temporary installation centers. The second covers the legal regime for entry, permanence, exit and removal of foreigners from the national territory.

The third change concerns the law on granting asylum, which is also affected by the new provisions of the decree approved by the Constitutional Court.
