The Constitutional Court decided not to find violations in the Return and Asylum Law, which led PSD to express satisfaction with the decision. The party spokesperson stated that there is a "sense of duty fulfilled" after the court's deliberation.
PSD is optimistic about the promulgation of the legislation by the President of the Republic. According to the party, since no violations were detected by the Constitutional Court, "there are no reasons" for the head of state not to approve the document as it stands.
Conversely, the Livre party continues to demand that the President of the Republic veto the law. This position contrasts with PSD's expectation that the legislation will be promulgated without changes.
