The 17th edition of the March for Jesus took place in Maricá this Saturday, maintaining the tradition of the event in the municipality. This year, the chosen theme was "The Power of Prayer," bringing together faithful from different churches and Christian denominations in a celebration free and open to the entire population.
The event was developed by the Secretariat of Religious Affairs, Citizenship and Family and by the Culture and Tourism Company of Maricá (MARÉ). The gathering took place at 2 PM on Vereador Francisco Sabino da Costa Avenue, near the police station, from where the faithful proceeded in a march to Orlando de Barros Pimentel Square, in the Center, location that housed the main stage.
Pastor Sérgio Luiz, head of the Secretariat of Religious Affairs, Citizenship and Family, stated that the March for Jesus is part of Maricá's event calendar and represents a moment of faith, unity and fellowship among various Christian denominations, bringing together families and communities around prayer, music and the message of hope.
