Spanish Government increases humanitarian aid in Ceuta to 44.51 ME

The Spanish Government increased the financing to reinforce humanitarian aid in Ceuta from 6.4 million to 44.51 million euros after the migration crisis. The funds come from European Union funds and were announced by the Minister of Inclusion, Social Security and Migrations, Elma Saiz.

The minister made this announcement during her appearance before the parliamentary commission on Inclusion, Social Security and Migrations. Elma Saiz, who is also the spokesperson for the Spanish Government, classified the situation in Ceuta as "extraordinary".

The significant increase in financing is intended to address the migration crisis that affected the Spanish enclave in North Africa. Ceuta, on the border with Morocco, has been frequently the scene of intense migratory pressures.
