The Kitchen Congress returns on September 27 and 28 to the Gardens of the Marquês de Pombal in Oeiras for its 22nd edition, with Madeira as the Guest Region and Morocco as the Guest Country. Under the central theme "The Sea," the event brings together more than 80 national and international speakers to discuss sustainability, territory, and gastronomic innovation, including guest chef Lahcen Hafid, who will lead a masterclass on Moroccan gastronomy, and the Madeiran delegation featuring chefs such as Octávio Freitas and Júlio Pereira. The program explores topics such as maritime charcuterie, fish aging, aquaculture, and seasonality, with interventions from researchers at IPMA and the Champalimaud Foundation. Before the official opening, two exclusive dinners will be held in Lisbon.
