Whaling activity in Peniche. Project is digitizing Historical Heritage

There is a project developed by Nova University of Lisbon dedicated to the digitization of the marks of whaling activity in Peniche. The main objective is to preserve the historical heritage related to whale hunting that marked the region.

The project focuses on the documentation and digital recording of the traces of this traditional activity that had significant importance in Peniche over the years. The initiative aims to ensure that this historical memory is preserved for future generations.

Nova University of Lisbon assumes the role of the entity responsible for conducting this research work and digitization of Peniche's whaling heritage.
