The sudden flood devastated northern Nepal and Chinese Tibet on Wednesday. The official count on Friday indicates that at least 584 people died. Approximately 2,482 people remain missing on both sides of the border.
In Nepal, the number of missing nearly doubled in a matter of hours, going from 977 to 1,924. Among those missing are three Spanish citizens, one of whom has already been "located", according to the Nepal Tourism Board, although without further details about the identity or circumstances of the finding.
