Fernando Haddad's campaign committee, the PT candidate for governor of São Paulo, asked President Lula's team to hold at least five days of joint agendas in the state until the first round of elections, scheduled for October 7. There are still no official dates set for the events.
The agendas should be distributed among the metropolitan region of the capital, the metropolitan region of Campinas, the interior of the state, and the coast, according to the coordinator of Haddad's campaign and state president of the PT, Kiko Celeguim.
On the coast, the objective will be to highlight the connection between PT administrations and works such as the Santos-Guarujá tunnel and Guarujá airport, projects also claimed by the current governor Tarcísio de Freitas's administration, from Republicanos. The expectation is that, with the airport construction, the location will cease to be a regional tourism hub to receive visitors from all of Brazil.
In the interior, one of the focuses will be to publicize the Lula government's actions on various topics.
