The Secretary of State for Portuguese Communities, Emídio Sousa, stated that Portuguese diplomatic services continue to monitor the situation of national citizens in Nepal. The official noted that the total number of Portuguese citizens reported as missing remains at three.
According to Emídio Sousa, the two brothers who had initially been reported as missing have since been contacted and are safe.
However, the Nepali authorities have identified two new Portuguese citizens who have not been possible to contact, keeping the total of three nationals unreachable.
The Secretary of State assured that the process continues to be closely monitored by Portugal's diplomatic services.
